Species Predicted Habitat: Predicted habitat model includes the following landcover types: Karst woodland, shrubland, and pasture adjacent to forest, at or below 650 m of elevation. This species habitat includes 1.0% (9096 ha) of the island, of which 2.0% occurs in protected areas (PRGAP status 1 and 2).

The Flat-headed Blind Snake is the most widely distributed blind snake in Puerto Rico and has been found in 1,3 elevations as high up as Cayey and it has also been reported from Vieques Island . This species occurs in open and semi-open habitat, areas containing pasture bordered by forested limestone hills with numerous 3 2 limestone rocks . They occur under rocks in doline pasture-edge habitats .
