The Puerto Rican Wetland Blind Snake is apparently widely distributed in the northern part of the island1. It is the most commonly encountered Typhlops species within the forest at El Verde3. It inhabits coffe plantations, rocky hillsides, open pastures, forested and upland habitats, and can be found under fallen logs and rocks2,3. It feeds on Parvitermes, ants, minute beetle larvae3.
