Studies have shown that young girls who play team sports build lasting friendships and high self esteem needed to handle the pressures of adolescence and adulthood. The Flemington Raritan Girls Softball (FRGSL) needs your help. For years, we have run a successful softball program without receiving money from the borough, township or the county. Player registration fees cover many of the expenses associated with managing the league but that’s simply not enough. Donations from local businesses are critical for us to serve the girls in our community. Working with girls from Kindergarten through 12th Grade, FRGSL gives girls the opportunity to make friends, exercise, build their self image, learn teamwork and take this learning experience from the softball field with them throughout their lives. Every year, more than 200 girls on over 20 teams register to play in our recreation program. At the conclusion of the season we celebrate with our annual picnic attended by more than 500 family members! This year we will field six travel teams through our Flemington Flames program, from ages 8 through 14, with many playing over 30 games each. Our recreation league focuses on fundamentals and participation, while the travel teams build on the fundamentals with winter workouts, tournaments and playing more competitive teams from around the state. All told, our girls will play in over 550 games! In addition, we will host several tournaments this year at Lenape Park. We trust that you see the value of showcasing your business through sponsorship, and your goodwill is appreciated in the community. Your support makes a difference in our program. The league can’t exist without sponsor support. Enclosed is a sponsor form that provides a variety of sponsorship levels.
