WHIZ KIDS Whiz Kids is a tutoring and mentoring program that helps to break the cycle of poverty for at-risk kids. From weekly to as-needed, time commitments are as varied as the roles. Find out about serving opportunities:

UPDATE Through your generosity to the Game Change campaign, we are providing aftercare to girls rescued from forced prostitution. In Mumbai, we recently opened two new aftercare homes, and a third will open soon. In Kolkata, we’re now funding ongoing operations of an existing, quality home that provides holistic care. WHEELS NEEDS YOUR CAR
Volunteers are needed for the next Habitat for Humanity project. Learn new skills or use the ones you have to help provide a home for a deserving family. To sign up, go to crossroads.net/habitat.
If you have a used car that’s in decent condition, consider donating it to Wheels. We’ll recondition it, and give it to a member of our community. WEEKDAY PREP TEAM First Impressions needs reliable and detailed admin volunteers to serve in Oakley. Commitment is two hours on Monday or Thursday mornings every week. Tasks vary from cleaning, prepping supplies, stocking inventory and computer work. Email Greta Schraer at [email protected].
FOSTER CARE/ADOPTION GROUP If you’re currently parenting kids who joined your family through adoption or foster care, and are looking for support through training, education and community, sign up for our September 17 meeting online at crossroads.net/adoption.

Kids’ Club not only offers a fun learning environment for kids, it’s also safe for babies 0–12 months. All the volunteers in the nursery are 18 and up, background-checked and will follow your instructions for bottle feeding, etc. to the letter. So your little one will be well taken care of, and you can sit back, relax and enjoy the service.
