Relax It’s OK to laugh at church. We don’t take ourselves too seriously, but we take what we do VERY seriously. As a result, we like to make fun of ourselves, and sometimes, the Bengals. We believe that God has a sense of humor and that you should, too. But if you don’t think it’s funny, feel free to email us, and later we’ll have a good laugh at what you wrote. (Kidding! See? We did it again.)

ADOPTION/FOSTER PARENT COMMUNITY GROUP If you are a parent of kids through adoption or foster care, there’s a community of support just for you. Our next meeting is Monday, September 9, 6:30-8pm at Crossroads Oakley. Childcare is available with one week advance registration. RSVP online at crossroads.net/adoption.

THE GOD EXPERIMENT If you’re currently in exploration mode about God and ready for something beyond the weekend service, check out The God Experiment. It’s 8 weeks of individual study and weekly group conversations to explore what you believe, learn more about God’s story, and consider what that story might have to do with you. If you’re interested, email [email protected] or stop by the Info Center.

We believe we can’t be what God has called us to be if we play games with each other. Whether it’s what happens on stage, within our smaller communities, serving teams or in our homes, we need to be able to share our faults and weaknesses and not fake it. That’s authenticity, just being real. (Philippians 3:17) The Seven Hills We Die On are applications of biblical truth expressed through the unique personality of Crossroads. Check out the Info Center for the rest of ‘em.

SOUTH AFRICA Join hundreds of Americans and South Africans as we provide hope on the other side of the world. From March 21–31, Crossroads is sending 130 volunteers to work alongside our partner in South Africa, Grace Bible Church. Grace Bible is one of the largest churches in South Africa and is a light for those battling the HIV/AIDS epidemic and living in extreme poverty. Learn more and view info session dates at crossroads.net/gosouthafrica. Signups close September 30.
Did you know that almost every adult in Kids’ Club on the weekend is a volunteer? That’s right, (a background and reference-checked) volunteer. These people willingly give their time on the weekend to hang out with your (clearly advanced and amazing) kids and teach them God’s Story. And we couldn’t have the weekend at Crossroads without them. So give them a high five when you pick up your kid today and say “thank you”.
