Coaching staff on site for practice and games. b. Certified/Licensed Athletic Trainer on-site for practice and games 2. Emergency Communication a. Mobile telephone with certified athletic trainer b. Athletic Training Room Office located in room #120 OSC (239.590.7711) c. Administrative offices located on 2nd floor of OSC (239.590.7152) 3. Emergency Equipment a. First aid field kits available on-site. b. Emergency equipment including splints and oxygen located in the athletic training room in room #115 of OSC. c. AED located in the dugout for practices and games. 4. Role of First Responders a. Immediate care of the injured or ill student-athlete. b. Emergency equipment retrieval. c. Activation of the emergency medical system (EMS through campus police) i. Call 239.590.1911 (provide name, address, telephone number, number of individuals injured, condition of injured, first aid treatment, specific directions, other information as requested. Be the last to hang up ii. Indicate venue d. Direction of EMS to scene i. Unlock/open appropriate gates ii. Designate an individual to “flag down” EMS and direct to scene iii. Scene control: limit scene to first aid providers and move bystanders away from the area. 5. Venue Location a. Take main entrance off of Ben Hill Griffin Pkwy. b. Take first left on Loop Road c.
