Coaching staff on site for practice and events b. Certified/Licensed Athletic Trainer on-site for practice/matches 2. Emergency Communication a. Mobile telephone with certified/licensed athletic trainer b. Athletic Training Room office located in room #120 OSC (239.590.7711) c. Administrative offices located on 2nd floor of OSC (239.590.7152) 3. Emergency Equipment a. First aid kit available on-site b. Emergency equipment including splints, AED and oxygen available on-site 4. Role of First Responders a. Immediate care of the injured or ill student-athlete b. Emergency equipment retrieval c. Activation of the emergency medical system (EMS through campus police) i. Call 239.590.1911 (provide name, address, telephone number, number of individuals injured, condition of injured, first aid treatment, specific location, specific directions, other information asked. Be the last to hang up ii. Indicate venue d. Direction of EMS to scene i. Designate an individual to unlock/open appropriate gates ii. Designate an individual to “flag down” EMS and direct to scene iii. Scene control: limit scene to first aid providers and move bystanders away from the area 5. Venue Location a. Take main entrance off of Ben Hill Griffin Pkwy b. Take first left on Loop Road c. Take first left on North Drive d. Take first right on Lake Pkwy. East e. Soccer Complex located adjacent to the aquatic center f. On-field EMS access through gate nearest the FGCU Aquatic Center unless otherwise indicated during the call 6.
