Volunteer Hours In past years we have not required volunteer hours for the lacrosse program. There are several areas that we need your help. So this year we will be implanting “Volunteer Hours”. Some of the areas we need volunteer help will be team managers, score keepers, painting of the fields and our first annual 2017 Tournament. We will send out the details in the near future.

Background Checks All committee members, team managers, coaches and assistant coaches are required to have an updated background check. This is a mandatory requirement for anymore who is in direct contact with our youth players to ensure the safety of your child.

Tournament This year we will be hosting our first annual 14U Tournament. We will need all of your help to make it successful. The date of the tournament has not been decided but it’s looking like the first part of August.

Fundraising We will be doing a fundraising drive so let us know if you have ideas for this. Possibilities are Heggies Pizza, Schwan’s and Papa Murphy’s cards. Once we vote on what we will be selling we will share this information with you.

Renewing your US Lacrosse Membership In order to help leagues and events monitor the age of participants US Lacrosse has developed an online age verification system, which includes a review of a birth certificate or other legal document to confirm a player’s birth date.

US Lacrosse has changed the age groups for the youth lacrosse level of play. Moving forward we will be offering a 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U teams. If your son is in 9th grade and age eligible they can only play at the youth level as long as they have not played with the High School. The US Lacrosse Board of Directors adopted the player segmentation policy for three primary reasons: Player safety, competitive fairness and consistent experience for participants. Registration will be open only once for the 2017 season from January 10 – 24. o In previous years we have offered the option to pay online or by check.
