[email protected] Dear Parents & Friends, Happy New Year! We have very quickly got back in the swing of things at Bridgetown with trips already taking place – on Wednesday our year three children enjoyed a day at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford – and many more events planned, including the exciting residential trip to North Wales that our year six children are looking forward to later this term. We’ve also started the term with two well supported parent information sessions, with a meeting for our year six parents ahead of the Marle hall trip and a session for EYFS parents about effective characteristics of learning. Thanks to staff for leading these and to those who attended. Response from both sessions was extremely positive. At the end of last term we enjoyed a very colourful Christmas Jumper Day raising £229.32 for Save the Children, Macmillan Cancer Support and Make-AWish® UK.

Norovirus (Winter Vomiting Bug) Advice Norovirus is the most common stomach bug in the UK. NHS Choices, in collaboration with the Foods Standards Agency, has put together a useful guide to help schools and parents understand, detect and prevent the spread of the virus. The complete guide is available on our school website.
Community New School Closures due to Severe Weather - Reminder At this time of year we can experience severe weather and while we will always try to keep school open, there is the possibility that, for safety reasons, it may be necessary to close the school. In this event, we will inform you via text message and notices about the evolving situation will be displayed on the homepage of the school website. Additionally, the information will be listed on the Warwickshire school closures page, where you can also sign up for text message alerts: http://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/schoolclosures.
Best wishes, Louise Lowes, Head Teacher
