Over the past week we have seen great things from our teams. The Varsity team faced off against Top 5 Rochester and battled to a 2-1 loss. JV A has battled to two draws in their last two games and JV B drew a tie on Wednesday Night against West Bloomfield. Our teams are starting to hit their strides and the results are

Injuries and Pull Ups The Varsity team has been riddled with injuries over the last few weeks and as a result we have had to pull a few players from JV A to help with our depth. If we do in fact pull up players we will coordinate with the players, JV Coaches and boosters for a smooth transition WINNING A DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP IS OUR EXPECTATION, NOT OUR GOAL

Spirit Wear was distributed at Thursday's practices. If you had your order shipped directly to your home, you should be receiving the package in the next few days. Help Needed John Bohannon, our varsity game announcer, could use help during the varsity tournament on 9/16. He is hoping that another parent can help with the last two games of the day, the 1 and 2 p.m. games. If you think you can help, please contact John at [email protected] or Andrea Brink. If you plan to be at the tournament, you could head up to the announcers' booth to observe at some point. There are six games on the hour starting at 9 a.m., and the announcing is very simple that day because of the tight schedule. The Picnic Let's hope for a great weather! Hamburgers, veggie burgers, hot dogs, condiments, and bottles of water will be provided. 9/11/2017 6:20 PM Rochester Game Recap 2-1 LOSS For the third game in a row Groves played in hostile territory Tuesday night as they faced Rochester High School in Rochester Hills. The game was a very physical, hard fought game that ended with Rochester finding the back of the net with 6:45 remaining in the 2nd half. Amedeo Crovasce found Nick Restrepo at the top of the 18 to score the only goal of the night for the Falcons. Aldo Buttazzoni stopped 13 shots to help keep the Falcons in the game.
