Organisational Summary Crime Stoppers Victoria (CSV) is an independent not for profit organisation governed by a voluntary Board of Directors and managed by a Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Crime Stoppers Victoria strives to create a safer community by facilitating the confidential provision of community information to Victoria Police and other law enforcement agencies. This information assists in building police intelligence and in identifying perpetrators of crime or potential crimes. Crime Stoppers Victoria champions a range of crime prevention and detection campaigns by utilising its reputation of community trust and brand recognition and significant media reach. In 2017 Crime Stoppers Victoria will celebrate its 30th year with a range of proposed fundraising activities and events. Position Overview The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation and delivery of a comprehensive fundraising strategy and accompanying activities in line with Crime Stoppers Victoria’s strategic plans and objectives. The successful applicant will be capable of producing consistent and high level fundraising outcomes, and will work closely with the Crime Stoppers team to ensure the successful activation of a variety of traditional and digital fundraising events, campaigns and activities. You will liaise closely with the Leadership Team, sponsors, stakeholders and external agencies and organisations to achieve fundraising outcomes. An ability to work to tight timeframes, juggle multiple tasks, prioritise your own and others workflow and to work autonomously are all key attributes. Fundamental to the role is accuracy, confidentiality and accountability.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities  Identify CSV planned activities that are opportunities to attract funding via sponsorship partners, government or corporate funding, public or private donations, or crowd-funding.  Investigate fundraising and philanthropic opportunities, coordinate the timetabling and oversee the submission of proposals for grants and other fundraising prospects.  Develop, deliver and subsequently evaluate all fundraising activities and provide high level advice and analysis to the CEO on outcomes.  Assist with the planning and management of special events that support CSV’s fundraising initiatives, including the upcoming 30th Anniversary Gala Ball in 2017 and the Crime Stoppers Australia Conference.  Work with the Head of Strategy on the development and implementation of appropriate governance protocols in relation to the Fundraising portfolio.  Be responsible for the development and management of fundraising budgets.  Support the Leadership Team with the management of relationships with trusts, foundations, major donors and sponsors.  Assist the Leadership Team to develop and deliver business proposals, approaches and pitches.  Undertake other relevant tasks as required, including administrative tasks as appropriate to the role.

Essential Skills and Attributes  Knowledge and experience in fundraising, ideally in government, philanthropic and corporate fundraising areas  Experience in developing and delivering fundraising campaigns and activities  Experience coordinating and managing fundraising events  Experience in developing, managing and reporting on fundraising budgets  Experience and/or knowledge of digital fundraising  Proficiency in utilising CRM databases and online fundraising tools  High proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel  A high level of motivation and commitment to the ethos of Crime Stoppers Victoria
