FAMILY, FANS, ALUMNI & FRIENDS: Time flies when you are having fun!! At the time of print, the Wayne State Volleyball Team was in the middle of finals, after the conclusion of a very successful spring season. It’s hard to believe the time has gone, and the next time the team steps on the floor it will be to start the season in Illinois! It is very evident the team has put in the work and is gearing towards a very successful season this upcoming fall. Going undefeated against GLIAC opponents this spring is a strong confidence booster heading into summer workouts. So as we put down the balls and pick up the books, know that the 2016 season is just around the corner…..let the excitement build!! Welcome—Natalie! Head coach Tim Koth and the Wayne State University volleyball team have signed Natalie Breault - pictured at the right.—(Bad Axe, Mich.) to a National Letter on Intent during the regular spring signing period. The 510 setter was a four-year standout for the Bad Axe Hatchets. "I am looking forward to working with Natalie!" said Koth. "She comes from a strong volleyball family. Mindy (her mom) is her high school and club coach, and she is the fourth member of the family to play collegiate volleyball. She has a strong pedigree in the sport and is an outstanding student. Natalie has good size and skill as a setter, and nice touch on her delivery. As she adjusts to the speed and strength of the game at this level, we expect her to do great things for the Warriors in her career! I have known her and her family for a long time - they fit the Warrior Way - and we are very pleased that Natalie and her family will be a part of Warrior Volleyball." W Week wrap up. As we wrap up another successful W Week—celebrating 41 years of Women’s Athletics at WSU—we wanted to point out a couple of highlights. For the second year in a row WSU Volleyball won the Spirit Walk competition with their version of the “Spiriit of Wayne State” (pictured above). The 7th annual Basics Needs drive was the concluding event of the week as all WSU Athletes collected and distrubted over 1,000 packages of items to individuals in need. WSU Athletes are pictured in the upper right. FEATURE-The Back Page! This issue features pictures of the Warriors/Tartar Alumni game. Enjoy! Till next time... Go Warriors!
