Kansas Severe Weather Awareness Week: March 14-18

This year, the National Weather Service, the State of Kansas, and local jurisdictions will be observing Severe Weather Awareness Week from March 14th through March 18th. The purpose of this awareness week is to draw the public’s attention to the dangers associated with severe weather, as well as the steps that can be taken to keep safe when the clouds swirl, the debris flies and the hailstones fall. You can join in this effort by planning and practicing your sheltering options, building an emergency kit, and taking a severe weather class. You will find attached an information packet provided by Butler County Emergency Management with more details regarding severe weather in Kansas.

Peachjar E-Flyer program coming in March

As part of our efforts to be more environmentally friendly and to embrace innovative technology, we are moving from paper to a digital flyer delivery - PeachJar. With our Peachjar e-flyer program, the e-fliers will be sent directly to parents’ email inboxes as well as posted on school websites for easy access. This program is completely managed through the Communications office in partner with Peachjar. Fliers can now be posted on the website instead of displaying in the office and/or sending home with students! Each year, our schools will save tons of paper and reduce copy costs by thousands of dollars. In addition, paperless delivery of school fliers removes a significant administrative burden from teachers, office staff, and volunteers. Click here to learn more about Peachjar.
