POSITION TITLE:
Education Director
JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Education Director oversees all educational program at Harwood Center. The Education Director is responsible for the direct supervision of all teaching staff including Lead Teachers, teaching associates as well as volunteers and practicum students assigned to educational classrooms. MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS: I.
Education Master’s degree in the area of child development, social work, special education, or a related field-extensive relevant experience in the field.
II.
Experience Three to five years of relevant experience in the field of developmental programming for young children with special needs preferred. Three years’ experience providing direct supervision to staff and program management preferred. Adherence to Harwood Center policy and procedure manual Valid Driver’s License
KEY FUNCTIONS: 1. Program & Staff Management 2. Organizational Planning, Development & Evaluation 3. Recruitment, Professional Development & Training 4. Program Representation & Partnerships 5. Compliance & Program monitoring 6. Intake Coordination.
