HERMITAGE GIRLS SOFTBALL ASSOCIATION May 2, 2012 Association Meeting Minutes Board Members: Dan Black, Ed Chess, Paula Hearns, Lisa Yanak, Amy Hines, Corinne Combine, Joe Perrico Participants: Tammy Scheuermann, Bill Scheuermann, Joe White, Tim Yanak, Sean Mulligan, Chad McCombs, Tim McGonigle, David George, Cindy Mishaltz (sp?) and Mr. Mishaltz (sp?) 1. Meeting Minutes: April 4 2012 Association Meeting Minutes were then approved and accepted by the Board. 2. HGSA By-Laws: Ed Chess to provide to Paula Hearns the slow pitch by-laws to begin building template for HGSA ByLaws. 3. Minimum Play Rule: Discussion was held regarding the need for a Minimum Play Rule Policy to be put into effect for the HGSA due to the large number of players on some teams. The Minimum Play rule was motioned, voted on and approved. It is attached as policy and will be posted on the HGSA website once these May 2nd meeting minutes are approved. (Minimum Play Rule was revisited at 6/6/12 Board Meeting. It was discussed, revised, voted on and approved 12 for and 4 against at the 6/6/12 Board Meeting.) 3. May 20th Strike Out Juvenile Dermatomyositis Early Bird 14U Tournament: Teams have signed up. One Little league field will be used. Amy Hines and her Tournament Committee will meet and finalize all other planes. 4. Field Update: Scoreboard Controllers: The controllers will be stored at the Concession Stand. Scoreboard breaker on/off switch is located in Concession building. Batting Machines: League owns one machine, Tim McGonigle’s family is allowing use of personal machine. One machine will be located at each field for practices. Field Upkeep: Remember Managers/Coaches to rake fields after games or practices. Also please assist in keeping the dugout closets as clean as possible. Leave bases in place after games and practices. 5. Treasurer Report: Insurance: $10.50 per player – total cost $1,400 Umpire Fees: First half of umpire fees given to Managers Concession: Concession is stocked with food and drink. 6. Concession Update: All families that they have concession duty need to be at concession one hour before the start of the game. 10. Equipment Update: Joe Perrico will purchase equipment needed for teams. Given budget of $300.00. Items To Be Discussed and Assigned: Additional tournaments to be held at Hermitage fields Next Meetings: Board Meeting: Wednesday, June 6th 8:15 pm @ Hermitage Athletic Complex
