Parent Connection March 2, 2018 Little Pates Registration Swimming Lessons Little Patriot Academy preschool will be having a Swimming lessons will take place for students in parent only meeting on Monday, March 26 at grades 3-6 from March 12 – March 22. Students 6:30 in the elementary commons. This will be the participate at the appropriate swimming level first opportunity for parents to register for Little during the school day. Kindergarten Roundup We will be having Kindergarten Roundup on Monday, March 19 at 6:30. The meeting is intended to provide information for prospective kindergartners for the 2018-19 school year. Students must be 5 years old before August 31. The program is intended for students and parents. It provides a chance to collect appropriate paperwork and answer any parent questions. Please plan on attending if you have a child that will be starting Kindergarten next year. Having an accurate count of students is important to help plan for next school year.

3 and 4 grade students will be attending the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra on Monday, March 5. A parent letter is attached to this newsletter with more information.
Spring Lifetouch photos were sent home with students last week. Picture packets or payment should be returned to classroom teachers as soon as possible. An order form is attached to this newsletter

Yearbook Order Forms Elementary Yearbook Order forms were sent home with students this week. A copy of the order form is attached to this newsletter. Yearbook’s cost $16 and order forms are due on March 22.

South Dakota Symphony Orchestra trip for 3rd and 4th grade will be March 5 We will have a PTO meeting at 7:00 p.m. on March 5 in the elementary media center Swimming Lessons for grades 3-6 are planned for March 12-22. Kindergarten Roundup will be on March 19 There will be no school on March 23 for staff in-service. Dear Parents, The 3 rd and 4 th grade students will have the opportunity to attend the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra on Monday, March 5th in Sioux Falls at the Washington Pavilion. It is the annual Young People's Concert, so the performance is tailored to students in 3rd and 4th grade. We will leave the school around 12:30 PM that day and return around 3:00 PM. The classroom teachers and paraprofessionals will be chaperoning, so parent chaperones are not necessary. I ask that your child please wear nice school clothes that day. The 4th graders will eat an earlier lunch at school so that they can get to the bus by 12:30. The cost is $3 per student .
