Team Jackson Penny War

Flag football will begin tomorrow morning. Times for different grade levels are listed below.

Thank you to all the students that participated in the Team Jackson Penny War this past week. Over the week we collected over $1,000 to help support Jackson and his family. As Jackson continues his recovery there are also ongoing fundraisers including:

• Grades 1 and 2 – 10:00-11:00 • Grades 3 thru 6 – 9:30-11:00 Volleyball will begin on October 14 and will meet on the following dates from 9:30 until 11:00. • • •

Flu Clinic

Fall Pictures

Permission forms and information concerning the H-BC flu clinic was sent home with students last week. The clinic will take place on Tuesday, October 17. Forms for students must be returned to school by October 7 in order to participate.

Order forms for fall pictures were sent home last week. Picture day will be on Wednesday, October 4. Picture forms that are returned before that day will be collected by classroom teachers. A copy of the form has been attached to this newsletter.

October is Anti-Bullying Month Throughout October we will have activities and events encouraging unity and teaching about anti-bullying. Our school social worker, Mrs. Ceynowa Breuer will be organizing events and speaking to individual classes about being good friends and showing respectful behaviors. We take pride in the way that we treat each other at H-BC elementary and look forward to the month when we celebrate our positive character. Unity Day will be on October 25. Students are encouraged to wear Orange on that day.
