ENGLISH 1) Prepare one personality card about any poet/writer from your literature book. You must include the following points: Name, place of birth, forte, names of some famous works, awards won (if any). •

After preparing your personality card, write an imaginary interview with the poet/writer you selected. Try to make your interview as meaningful and fruitful as possible. Include atleast eight to ten questions in your interview.
You learned to prepare mouth watering recipes in smokeless cooking club in Grade 7. Prepare any two dishes of your choice and write their recipes in passive voice.
3) Cartoon characters, like their creators have a life of their own. Who is your favourite cartoon character? Why? What is special about that charter? Who created it and when? Put together the information and you have a biography of your favourite cartoon character ready! Write this biography in your notebook in about 120 words.
4) Compose a limerick on yourself or on your friend. A limerick is a funny little poem containing five lines.
5) Recently you read the story, ‘The Silver Lining’ in class. Promodini, the protagonist of the story is physically challenged but mentally strong. Find out information about a physically challenged person (famous/commoner) who emerged as a winner, beating all odds. After collecting information, express what you felt from this whole experience in the form of a diary entry in not more than 150 words.
6) Use your creative faculties and prepare catchy slogans (1-2 lines) or jingles (short songs of 2-4 lines) for your favourite toothpaste, bathing soap, shampoo, soft drink, fast food chain advertisements.
