HOW TO SET UP MOTION EMAIL FOR

MODEL NUMBERS: QSDR16RTC-B Prior to setting up motion email, be sure that your DVR has the latest firmware and that it is set up for Network access. It is also recommended that you use Gmail as your email contact due to its reliability. Also your DVR has been set for MOTION RECORDING (refer on How to setup Motion Recording) STEP 1: On the channel display, right click and select “MAIN MENU”.
STEP 2: Move cursor to “NETWORK” and click.

MODEL NUMBERS: QSDR16RTC-B STEP 3: On the DNS address, you want to put the Primary DNS address you find in the Router Status tab. Example for ATT internet, the DNS is 64.98.157.1. Click APPLY and EXIT and Reboot DVR.
STEP 4: Once the DVR restart, go back to Main Menu and go to DEVICE and click on ALARM.

STEP 7: Select the CHANNEL and put a CHECK MARK on EMAIL: Motion. Click on Apply and Exit.

Turn ON EMAIL SSL : ON SMTP Port: 00465 Interval: set the time for Interval on how often the email will be sent out. SMTP: smtp.gmail.com Send Emai: [email protected] Send PW: yourgmailpassword RECV Email: email where you want to send to. Example: [email protected] Click APPLY and EXIT.

MODEL NUMBERS: QSDR16RTC-B STEP 10: Now you are back to ALARM SETUP. Make sure you HAVE TO click on APPLY and EXIT again to make sure all the setting take effect.
