STEP 1: Open Internet Explorer on the computer connected to the router you forwarded your ports from your DVR to.
STEP 2: Go to www.canyouseeme.org.

STEP 3: Your public IP is listed on this site.
STEP 4: Using Internet Explorer, enter your Public IP Address in the address bar on a computer outside of your network.
NOTE: If your HTTP port (Web port) is other than 80, you must enter it after your IP address followed by a colon. (:)

STEP 5: A small headline will appear as follows.
STEP 6: Right click on the headline and select “Run Add-on”.
STEP 7: A small box will appear; click “Run”. Once the ActiveX Control has successfully been added, press “F5” to refresh your browser.

STEP 8: A blue screen will appear. Enter your password from your DVR (default is 123456).
STEP 9: The following application will appear so that you may view your cameras.
