There are detailed directions with illustrations of each step! Desert Sky with May Snook. Bradley and Judy designed the layout for the Desert Sky using a collection of bright and dark fat quarters designed by Island Batik. Template Layout sheets were designed and provided with these instruction to speed up the cutting process, allowing you to stack and cut your fat quarters in two groups of nine fabrics. An even amount of yardage is needed for each color. This small wall hanging is definitely one to add to your collection. The skill level ranges from beginner to advanced. Invisible ZigZag Applique with Jennifer Dick. This workshop is for those who are scared of the “A” word or who think they’ll never be able to appliqué beautiful  quilts! (Or those who want to learn a new technique to add to their repertoire.) By using this freezer paper method to prepare the shapes and stitching them to your block by machine with invisible thread, you’ll get the look of fine hand appliqué in a fraction of the time with stunning results. At the workshop, you’ll learn how to set up your machine with invisible thread, how to prepare the appliqué shapes with freezer paper and how to remove the freezer paper after sewing the shapes down. We will work on a simple fish pillow, but will discuss how to use this method for any of your appliqué projects. All student finish the block in class an receive complete instructions for finishing the pillow at home.
