o Contact with the net is not illegal, except when contact is made while making a play or if it interferes with the play. o A player may enter the opponent’s playing space (under the net) without fault, unless it interferes with play. Blocking o A block will not constitute a team hit; the team still has three hits following a block attempt. o The first hit after a block attempt may be made by any player, including the player who attempted the block. o Blocking an opponent’s serve is forbidden. o A player may not contact the ball on the opponent’s side of the net until the opponent has executed an attack hit. Once served, players may move to any position on the playing surface. Double Hit o A player may not contact the ball with two separate and consecutive motions. Exception: On the serve and any consecutive first hit of a team, the ball may contact various parts of the body consecutively, provided that the contacts occur doing one action. o Two or more players may contact the ball at the same time. In such cases, it is counted as one contact and any player - including those who just contacted it – may play the ball next. Lifts o Lifting, scooping, pushing, throwing, or allowing the ball to roll on the body shall be considered a lift. Legal Hit o The ball may be contacted by any part of the body, including, but not limited to, the feet (kicking) and head. Out of Bounds o A ball will be considered out of bounds if the entirety of the ball lands outside the rope boundary. If any part of the ball touches the rope boundary, it will be considered in. o A ball that passes over the net posts will be considered out of bounds, regardless of where it lands on the court.
