Committee Members: Carole Hoffman, John Terpkosh (TSR), Claudio Giraldi (YTS) Committee Highlights: A) Junior Recreation – a. Junior Team Tennis i. District JTT Playoffs – June 25th in Carroll 1. Mason City, Atlantic, Audubon, Creston and Carroll teams participated ii. Western Iowa JTT League started 1. The Central Iowa JTT League collapsed so a new Western Iowa JTT League was formed (Audubon Atlantic, Creston & Carroll) this summer. Looking to add Denison and Grimes to the league next year b. 2015 IAHPERD Date: June 12-13 in Osceola at William Penn College School Tennis Workshop in Dubuque, October 9 School Tennis Workshop in Des Moines, October 23 2016 IAHPERD Date: June 21-22 in Indianola at Simpson College
B) Adult Recreation – a. Clinics & programs committee assisted with i. Eastern Iowa Adaptive Sports Clinic in Cedar Rapids on March 28th ii. Clinicians: Kevin Nebergall (PTR), Brenton Kuchera (PTR), Claudio Giraldi (PTR/USPTA) C) Parks & Recreations – a. 2015 IPRA Spring Conference was held on April 6-8 in Davenport, John attended b. 2015 NRPA National Congress was held on October 15-17 in Las Vegas, NV c. 90th Annual National Public Parks Tennis Championships i. July 30-31 August 6-14, 2016 in Irvine, CA d. 2016 NRPA National Congress i. October 6-8, 2016 in St. Louis, MO Recommended Proposed Committee Budget for 2015: $2,500.00* *breakdown (Junior - $1,600 for JTT District Playoffs, Adult - $900 Clinics)
