IT’S A GREAT DAY TO BE A MIDDIE Mark Andrew Sets New National Y Record While most of us were paddling around the pool this summer, Mark Andrew was slicing through the water with record-setting speed in the 400 meter IM. He not only won the YMCA national crown but set a new National Y record. His record time was also a USA Summer National Championship and Olympic Trial qualifying time and also earned him a US Top Ten ranking (9th) for 17 year olds in that event. From his work last year, he was named NISCA High School Swimming All American in the 200 Individual Medley. Andrew is also the 2014 GMC Champion in 100 yard Freestyle and 100 yard Breaststroke, setting new MHS records in both events. He now holds 7 MHS swimming records. And, he has accomplished all this before his senior year at MHS. He now holds 7 MHS swimming records.
