--Make 3 blocks total-Have fun and make each mitten block different Fabric requirements (each block): Background fabric - cream Fat eighth – Star center (Pink) Fat quarter – Main color (blue) Fat eighth – Cuff (darker blue) Fat quarter- Star (white)

Cut Fabrics (for each block) From ‘Cuff’ Fabric cut: 1 - 1 13/16” x 5 13/16” rectangle From Main Color fabric: 21- 1 13/16” x 1 13/16” squares From ‘Star Center’ fabric cut: 1 – 3 3/16” x 3 3/16” square From ‘Star’ Fabric cut: 8- 1 13/16” x 1 13/16” square From background (cream) fabric cut: 7 – 1 13/16” x 1 13/16” squares 1 – 4 ½” x 3 3/16” rectangle 

Match up 1 background (cream) and 1 main color (blue) 1 13/16” x 1 13/16” squares right sides together. Sew from corner to corner, trim excess and iron. This will form a triangle square. Make 4 total.



Match up 1 main color (blue) and 1 star fabric color (white) 1 13/16” x 1 13/16” squares right sides together. Sew from corner to corner, trim excess and iron. This will form a triangle square. Make 8 total.



Match up 1 background (cream) and 1 main color (blue) 1 13/16” x 1 13/16” squares right sides together. Sew from corner to corner, trim excess and iron. This will form a triangle square. Then match up triangle square with 1 main color (blue) 1 13/16” x 1 13/16” square. Sew from corner to corner again the opposite corners from where the triangle square seam is. This will form the ‘angle’ in the mitten for the thumb. Make one total.



Following the diagram for the block layout (shown below), sew together the sections to make the star mitten block. Remember to use a scant ¼” seam. Make a total of 3 star mitten blocks.
