Mystery Quilt 2017 (53” x 65”) Finished blocks are 10”
Pattern is included cost of class. A Set of Specialty rulers are required to make this quilt (must be purchased prior to class but will not be given out till day of class). Can be purchased online at findxdesigns.com or in the shop.
FABRIC REQUIREMENTS: Cut all fabric prior to class, make sure cuts are accurate. Iron and starch all fabric.
12 Assorted fabrics (7” x WOF); used to make the blocks 5/8 yard of fabric for the sashing (31 pieces cut 2” x 10 ½”) CUT PRIOR TO CLASS 1/8 yard of fabric for sashing squares (20 squares cut 2”) ½ yard of fabric for inner boarder (strips cut 3” wide x WOF) 4- 3” squares of fabric for inner boarder cornerstones 1 ½ yards of fabric for outer boarder (strips cut 6 ½” wide on the lengthwise grain 3 1⁄8 yards of fabric for backing ½ yard of fabric for binding (or use the leftover from the outer boarder) Batting larger than 60” x 70”
Tools and supplies: Basic sewing supplies Sewing Machine in good working order. Rotating self-healing mat (very useful but optional) Spray starch 18” long ruler Small ironing pad Iron Marking pen (water soluble, disappearing, heat removed, chalk) Thread Rotary cutter Self-healing mat (12” x 18” is a good class room size to own) Seam Ripper Pins Pad and pencil Non-skid clear tape for rulers (optional) 10” squaring ruler (optional)
