The Competitive Gymnastics Coach will work with competitive athletes at the compulsory levels 2 through 4 as well as recreational athlete’s levels 1 through 6 and help them succeed in the sport of gymnastics.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Help to continue developing an instructional program. Observe and spot athletes as they perform on each apparatus. Prepare day-to-day practice outlines. Demonstrate skills/drills to help athletes better understand. Attend trainings to help further their education. Teach 1-3 hours of recreational classes a week. Attend competitive practices 2 to 3 times a week. Attend meets on the weekend during the meet season (November- March) Be committed to the highest level of safety for athletes, coaching staff and anyone else in the gymnastics area. Monitor athlete progression. Assist Gymnastics Director by providing input for classes and camps Set up equipment specific to each class.
PREFERRED SKILLS Gallop Strengths Finder Test, USAG membership, Multi-tasking, Flexibility, Customer Service, Communication, Time Management, Organization, Problem- Solving, Attention to Detail, Scheduling, Quality Focus, Ability to Life Heavy Materials, Ability to Perform Repetitive Motions
