Senior Credit Controller UK Financial Controller

The Role: We are seeking an experienced Senior Credit Controller to join our finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious candidate looking to further their career within a global media organisation. You will be supporting our UK Financial Controller and Senior Accountant. Key Responsibilities:
Manipulating and interpreting billing reports based on our billing & sales system for both digital and non-digital sales to subsequently invoice clients and our other VICE territories. This will include billing for VICE UK, Level Print (i-D Magazine) and VICELAND. Ensuring that our CRM system – Salesforce is correctly updated with all client contracts and agreements (Statement of Works, IOs etc.). Checking campaign contracts ensuring that all data is correct and billing is completed in a timely manner as detailed in contracts. Chasing debt in accordance to specific payment terms, ensuring that correct payment is chased and collected. Reducing debtor days. Identifying and escalating potential difficulties on cash collection. Establishing and maintaining relationships with clients, other VICE offices and other UK departments. Chasing debt via email/phone and in writing. Issuing monthly customer statements. Resolving customer queries. Raising intercompany recharges to other VICE territories. Regularly liaising with finance and non-finance team members, especially sales and digital teams. Checking campaign contracts ensuring that all data is correct. Responsible for issuing project codes in line with company’s policy. Allocating payments to correct accounts. Banking cheques.
Running Sales analysis reports and assisting in cash flow forecasts. Assisting with the sales commission process. Completing New Supplier forms supplied by new customers. Collecting evidence for the annual audit.
Experience and Qualifications:
Excellent attention to detail. You will need to be highly organised, meticulous, and most importantly have worked in digital media sector. Ideally you will have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role. You will be confident, outgoing and occasionally outspoken, able to handle most situations that are faced with credit control. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a proven track record in credit control. Proactive approach to managing own workload and seeking out improvements to business efficiencies. Able to deal with all levels of staff and be a team player, with a willingness to pick up new duties as and when required. Some knowledge of VAT as when it should and shouldn’t be applied depending on the territory being invoiced. Experience of working in multiple currencies. SAP and/or Salesforce experience is an advantage not a prerequisite. Possess strong Excel and systems skills. Must be ultra-organised, a multi-tasker and able to meet tight deadlines. Have strong communication skills, both written and oral. Be able to work calmly under pressure and without constant supervision

To undertake such other tasks including general administrative duties as may be required from time to time. To be an ambassador for the business at all times.
