John Jay College Finance & Administration Title: Finance and Administration Intern Reports To: Associate Director of Athletics for Finance & Administration Position Summary: An autonomous position, which will report directly to the Associate Director of Athletics for Finance & Administration. The primary objective for the position is to provide accounting support, financial analysis, human resources support, administrative duties, and special projects. Responsibilities: Use basic accounting standards to track accounts payable and accounts receivable for the Department of Athletics & Recreation. Generate invoices for rental clients. Draft rental revenue projections; Draft rental contracts. Coordinate merchandising activities with the Equipment Manager and Associate Director of Athletics. Maintain space rental inquiry log; Communicate with prospective rental clients regarding facility questions and rates. Assist with personnel administration, including forms and timesheets. Assist with inputting facility schedules into the College scheduling system. Provide administrative support and analysis for financial reports. Support the daily operations of the office, including filing, copying, faxing, scanning, and answering phones. Qualifications: Qualifications include having outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills, as well as a high level of professionalism; flexibility with job responsibilities; and punctuality. Accounting background preferred.
