John Jay College Finance & Administration Title: Finance and Administration Intern Reports To: Associate Director of Athletics for Finance & Administration Position Summary: An autonomous position, which will report directly to the Associate Director of Athletics for Finance & Administration. The primary objective for the position is to provide accounting support, financial analysis, human resources support, administrative duties, and special projects. Responsibilities:  Use basic accounting standards to track accounts payable and accounts receivable for the Department of Athletics & Recreation.  Generate invoices for rental clients.  Draft rental revenue projections; Draft rental contracts.  Coordinate merchandising activities with the Equipment Manager and Associate Director of Athletics.  Maintain space rental inquiry log; Communicate with prospective rental clients regarding facility questions and rates.  Assist with personnel administration, including forms and timesheets.  Assist with inputting facility schedules into the College scheduling system.  Provide administrative support and analysis for financial reports.  Support the daily operations of the office, including filing, copying, faxing, scanning, and answering phones. Qualifications:  Qualifications include having outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills, as well as a high level of professionalism; flexibility with job responsibilities; and punctuality. Accounting background preferred.
