John Jay College Intramurals & Recreation Title: Intramurals & Recreation Intern Reports To: Intramurals & Recreation Coordinator Position Summary: The Intramurals & Recreation Intern will be responsible for assisting the Intramurals & Recreation Coordinator with daily administrative responsibilities such as: program design, planning, scheduling, advertising, supervising and implementing. Activities: Design, Develop, Implement, and oversee all assigned activities and events for Open Rec, and Intramurals Organize and maintain IMLEAGUES website Review and update packets to include handbooks, policies, rules, schedules, and surveys Review and update all score sheets for assigned games on IMLEAGUES Complete daily check of teams registering for events Create advertisement pieces for all activities offered Oversee a safe Open Rec during community hour General: Coordinate all equipment and facility needs with the Coordinator of Intramural Sports Stay up to date with Intramural correspondence Be present at all intramural games for your assigned sports and assist with t-shirt distribution during championship games Assist in the organization of annual Intramural & Recreation events Attend all Senior Staff Meetings Qualifications: Working towards a degree in Recreation, Sports Management or related field General knowledge of the Intramural and/or Recreation Programs Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Quality communication skills both written and oral; including the ability to understand and articulate policy and procedures Ability to set and meet deadlines, prioritize and manage several projects at one time Ability and desire to work collaboratively with others to accomplish goals Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be flexible
