John Jay College Intramurals & Recreation Title: Intramurals & Recreation Intern Reports To: Intramurals & Recreation Coordinator Position Summary: The Intramurals & Recreation Intern will be responsible for assisting the Intramurals & Recreation Coordinator with daily administrative responsibilities such as: program design, planning, scheduling, advertising, supervising and implementing. Activities:  Design, Develop, Implement, and oversee all assigned activities and events for Open Rec, and Intramurals  Organize and maintain IMLEAGUES website  Review and update packets to include handbooks, policies, rules, schedules, and surveys  Review and update all score sheets for assigned games on IMLEAGUES  Complete daily check of teams registering for events  Create advertisement pieces for all activities offered  Oversee a safe Open Rec during community hour General:  Coordinate all equipment and facility needs with the Coordinator of Intramural Sports  Stay up to date with Intramural correspondence  Be present at all intramural games for your assigned sports and assist with t-shirt distribution during championship games  Assist in the organization of annual Intramural & Recreation events  Attend all Senior Staff Meetings Qualifications:  Working towards a degree in Recreation, Sports Management or related field  General knowledge of the Intramural and/or Recreation Programs  Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications  Quality communication skills both written and oral; including the ability to understand and articulate policy and procedures  Ability to set and meet deadlines, prioritize and manage several projects at one time  Ability and desire to work collaboratively with others to accomplish goals  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be flexible
