John Jay College Sports Information Title: Sports Information Intern Reports To: Sports Information Director & Assistant Sports Information Director Position Summary: The Sports Information Intern will be responsible for assisting the Sports Information Department in all areas including:
Updating the website daily with game stories, scores, scheduling, sports files, etc. Keeping statistics at home events and reporting to SID’s and NCAA Composing game and personal interest stories Updating all social media outlets (Twitter, Instagram, YouTube) Game filming and photography at all events and home games Public Address Announcing Game Set-up & Breakdown
Qualifications: Working towards a degree in Sports Information, Sports Management or related field General knowledge of the Sports Information field Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Products Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage several projects at one time Excellent communication skills both written and oral Must be flexible and able to attend home games including nights and weekends
