Psalm 98 Oh sing to the LORD a new song, for he has done marvelous things! His right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him. 2 The LORD has made known his salvation; he has revealed his righteousness in the sight of the nations. 3 He has remembered his steadfast love and faithfulness to the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. 4

Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises! 5 Sing praises to the LORD with the lyre, with the lyre and the sound of melody! 6 With trumpets and the sound of the horn make a joyful noise before the King, the LORD! 7

Let the sea roar, and all that fills it; the world and those who dwell in it! 8 Let the rivers clap their hands; let the hills sing for joy together 9 before the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with equity.

Prayer Requests from the Board of Elders 1. Strong Marriages: Pray for the marriages in the church. There are many strong marriages but some are struggling and a few are on the brink of disaster. The last 18 months have been the most tumultuous time for marriages in our church in the last 15 years. 2. Leadership: Pray for God to provide the right men to fill positions on our elder board. Randy Hunt’s move and a growing congregation have given us two vacancies. This is a crucial office in the church and one that must be covered in prayer. 3. Mission Exposure Trips Jay Johnson is soon going to Japan, and the youth group will be going to a Native American reservation in South Dakota reservation. Pray that everyone involved will be challenged by this exposure to missions. Pray also that they will have an effective ministry in proclaiming Christ. 4. Prayer in the Church: Corporate, concerted prayer on Wednesday night has been up and down over the years and it is currently on a downward trend. Though not determinative of our prayer habits, it can be reflective. Pray for Burton Cave as he is trying to remove as many hindrances as possible to people coming together as a church on Wednesday to pray for the church.
