Occasionally, we receive leaflets or information from local businesses and organisations. If we feel they may be of interest to you as parents and carers, we will include them in our fortnightly newsletter. We would, however, wish to make clear that by the inclusion of such literature, the school neither promotes nor endorses such products, events or services.
FAMILY SUPPORT SERVICE The local Early Intervention Family Support Worker, Lorraine Simon, operates a pre-bookable 1:1 appointment system once a month on Wednesday afternoons. The next session is on Wednesday 25th February from 2.45pm. Lorraine offers confidential support in all matters relating to parenting and can also direct you to other family support services. Please see the flier at the end of this newsletter for further information about Lorraine’s role. If you would like to book an appointment or find out further information about the sessions, please speak to the school office or contact Lorraine direct on (01480) 376199.
PTA NEWS We are currently organising dates for fundraising events this term – see our key dates table later in the newsletter. We are specifically raising money to upgrade the school library. This will include improving the lighting and providing iPad stands for the children, as well as enhancing the current book provision. We are very grateful for your support at our events and we look forward to seeing you shortly!
MATHLETICS All the children in the school have login cards to Mathletics. We would like to remind you that Mathletics is part of the children’s homework and they should be logging on and completing tasks for 20-30 minutes each week. We will be giving out certificates in the Awards Assembly every Tuesday to renew the children’s interest in these awards and celebrate their achievements. Please support your children to use Mathletics at home. Please let me know if you need new login cards and I will happily provide these for you. Similarly if you would like any help with this let me know! Miss Austin
