Headteacher’s News We are now officially Northfield House Primary Academy! We are looking forward to working with The Rushey Mead Educational Trust to continue to improve the school. Please take a look at our new website: www.northfieldhouseprimary.co.uk
I know that the children are very excited about having new jumpers and they will hopefully be with us in the new year. A big thank you to the PTA for organising the schools Autumn disco. Over £200 was raised towards the school PTA fund.
The PTA’s next event will be the Christmas Fayre on Thursday 10th December 2015, 3.30pm to 4.30pm so put it in your diaries! Miss Freer, Assistant Headteacher
Children in Need 2015 We will be fund raising for Children in Need on Friday 13th November. A letter will be sent home next week detailing how we plan to raise money.
Season Flu Vaccination All Yr1 - Yr6 children will be invited to have the 'Seasonal flu vaccination' within school during December. Envelopes containing all relevant information will be sent out to parents week commencing 9th November.

Reception Pear Mrs Reid would like to thanks all families who attended our Halloween Pumpkin Party last week...we hope that the 4 scary skeletons (FS staff) didn't frighten you too much!!!
During maths, Pear Tree have been creating different repeating patterns using fruit. The children have enjoyed designing their own fruit kebab and making it using grapes, apple, pears and bananas.
4 Ash
Last week, during Art Week, 4Ash were exploring the art and designs of famous hat designer, ‘Philip Treacy’. Great fun was had by all trying to emulate his innovative and sometimes wacky creations.
5 Cedar In 5 Cedar for Art week we focused on the painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, stage designer, poet and playwright Pablo Picasso. We looked at the period of his work called cubism. The children loved making their own portraits in the style of Pablo Picasso. There are nearly 3,000 retailers including Amazon, John Lewis, Aviva, thetrainline and Sainsbury's, who will donate a percentage of the amount you spend to Northfield House Primary Academy to say thank you for shopping with them.
It's really simple, and doesn't cost you anything.
