Mid-America Women’s Individual Championships TOURNAMENT GUIDELINES ELIGIB ILITY: 2017 Tournament entry is open to female players only of schools who compete within the MIAA Conference in any sport – field size will be open to the first 35 athletes to sign up and provide proof of college or university enrollment at the inst itution they are representing. FORMAT: This event will use a scratch scoring system. Athletes who cannot complete the entire All-Events portion of the competition will only be eligible for awards in the category they completed. A maximum of two players may be listed on one spot. DOUBLES Division = two players will complete 3 total-pinfall games. Individual players may be paired together if desired. SINGLES Division = each player will complete 3 total-pinfall games. ALL-EVENTS Division = the six games from Doubles / Singles will be added together to determine total pinfall. EVENT RULES: Dress Code: Non-NCAA entries will follow collegiate national governing body apparel rules. NCAA athletes will follow NCAA apparel rules. The current season’s NCAA playing rules (2017-18 edition) will be used for this competition. Tied matches will be broken immediately upon completion of any final results ; ties will be broken using a 5-frame roll-off format. LANE MAINTENANCE : Athletes will compete on two different lane patterns, both chosen from the World Tenpin Bowling Association (WTBA) database. The pattern information will be provided to all participants at least 10 days in advance. SCHEDULE: T hursday, February 23, 2017
