Worship the KING Today we worship the King who is with us. Jesus went to the temple just as we go to church. He called it His Father’s house. We can all worship in our MEMORY VERSE heavenly Father’s house.
John 1:14 “The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only, Who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”
What is your favorite thing about being in God’s house?
Read Luke 2:52. Jesus grew in (ROVAF) F __ V __R with (ODG) G __ __ and (MNE) M __ __. That means He grew more and more pleasing to God and people.
What does Father’s house mean?
Jesus obeyed His parents. He grew in (DOMSWI) W __ S __ __ __ and in (TERUSAT) ST __ __ URE. That means He grew smarter and [ ] happier. [ ] faster. [ ] taller.
That’s what we call the temple or the church. It belongs to our heavenly Father, so we call it His house.
Read Luke 2:48-49. Jesus called the temple [ ] Sunday School. [ ] Children’s Church. [ ] Praise Time. [ ] His Father’s house. Read Luke 2:43-47. After ________ days, Jesus’ parents found Him [ ] in the desert with John. [ ] counting sheep with the shepherds. [ ] in the temple with His teachers.
Read Luke 2:41-42. When Jesus went with His parents to Jerusalem, He was: [ ] 2 years old. [ ] 33 years old. [ ] 12 years old.
JESUS AT THE TE MPLE Luke 2:41-52 On the way home fr om a trip to Jerusalem, Jesu s’ parents could not find Him anywhere. He was 12 years ol d. They finally found Him ta lking with the teachers in th e Jerusalem temple. Jesus aske d them, “Didn’t you know I had to be in My Father’s house? ” Jesus went home with th em. He grew wiser, stronger and more pleasing to God and to people.
