The  website  is  the  main  way  to  get  us  footage  for  possible  inclusion  in  the  film,  so  it  is  very  important  to  sign   up  and  get  ac9ve  with  our  on-­‐line  community.  You  can  create  your  own  profile,  post  videos  and  photos,  and   interact  with  our  online  community  of  professional  filmmakers  and  inspired  ci9zens.

Step  1:  Go  to  website  and  click  on  Par5cipate  Bu9on.

Step  2:  Fill  out  online  form     Give  some  thought  to  your  answers  before  you  enter  them  on  the  registra9on  page.  This  will  be  the  primary   way  that  people  will  decide  if  they  would  like  to  have  you  join  a  group  or  help  them  with  their  project.  If  your   answers  do  not  meet  our  community  guidelines,  we  will  take  down  your  profile  immediately.

Lesson 1 Worksheet Dos and Don'ts We  have  set  out  some  important  do’s  and  don’ts  on  how  to  par9cipate  in  the  One  Day  on  Earth  project.  We   believe  the  items  to  do  are  posi9ve  and  will  be  rewarding;  the  don’ts  are  nega9ve  and  will  be  grounds  for   removal  from  the  community.

Do: -­‐Give  posi9ve  feedback  as  comments   -­‐Have  fun  and  engage   -­‐Use  this  as  an  opportunity  to  do  something  you  have  never  done  before   -­‐Share  your  video  and  results  with  everyone  you  know   -­‐Promote  any  film  or  project  that  will  be  shared  with  the  One  Day  on  Earth  community   -­‐Create  Groups  to  collaborate  with  others  in  the  community  across  the  globe.     -­‐Learn  from  your  experience   -­‐Engage  your  local  charity,  school,  or  community  to  par9cipate   -­‐Prac9ce  tolerance  and  pa9ence   -­‐Debate  ideas  in  a  construc9ve  way   -­‐Report  users  who  are  abusing  the  site  -­‐  email:  [email protected]

-­‐Spam  or  message  dozens  of  people  the  same  solicita9on.   -­‐Promote  a  commercial  project  that  is  not  connected  with  a  One  Day  on  Earth  filming  event   -­‐Use  this  site  as  a  da9ng  service   -­‐Post  comments  that  have  no  construc9ve  value  or  are  off-­‐topic   -­‐Prosely9ze  your  religion  or  poli9cal  agenda  through  messages  or  comments  to  people  you  don’t  know.  They   may  find  this  offensive.  Save  it  for  your  video  crea9on.     -­‐Do  anything  that  could  be  interpreted  as  harassment  in  any  way   -­‐Upload  content  you  don’t  own   -­‐Upload  anything  that  may  be  inappropriate:  No  sexually  explicit  material  or  porn.  No  videos  that  incite   hatred,  include  hate  speech,  defamatory  or  discriminatory  speech  or  videos  depic9ng  unlawful  acts  or   extreme  violence.  If  you  think  you  may  have  a  topic  that  may  be  unfairly  censored  feel  free  to  email   [email protected]  and  we  can  evaluate  it  on  a  case-­‐by-­‐case  basis.       Note:  We  reserve  the  right  to  suspend  a  member  at  any  6me  for  any  reason.
