33 attended, including many Kiwanians, friends and family members. We celebrated our first year since our charter party on 12/12/16. Decorations included our Aktion Club banner and a poster with photos for people to sign. We ate pizza and cookies (thanks to Mike and David). We played a fun raffle game for prizes. We took a group photo. We signed a Thank You card to Joe the General Manager of the Park Lanes Bowling Alley for letting us use the side room for free and bowl for a discount $3.50/game. Kiwanis President Sally Schaadt helped us induct 5 of 6 of our newest members. Each new member received a blue Aktion Club t-shirt, name badge, membership card, certificate and a pin. President Kyle shared the press release he submitted to the Advocate with help from Anna Jeffries about our Eliminate fundraiser and donation. President Kyle introduced the food drive fundraiser idea for January. David McManus showed that we received a “Distinguished Club Award” and patch for 2016-17. We had a fun social night! We celebrated a great year of service with fellowship and bowling. We had fun but ran out of time. Next time, we may skip the meeting and focus on socializing and bowling.
