Pledge of Allegiance (Stand with hand over heart and Face the Flag) 4. Pledge for Aktion Club (Say aloud together) I pledge on my honor to follow the Objects of Aktion Club. To better my community, my country and myself. To help those in need. To demonstrate loyalty to our community and nation. And to encourage others to do the same

MEMBERSHIP DUES - DEADLINE is NOVEMBER 1st. Our club owes a membership fee (“dues”) for each member. The annual dues rate is $8 per member to “Kiwanis International.” There are 16 Members on 2017-18 Roster. Thus, we owe $8 x 16 = $128 to Kiwanis International.
OLD BUSINESS 8. Service Opportunity - LCBDD 50th Celebration. Anna Jeffries from the LCBDD to discuss service project at LCBDD upcoming 50th Anniversary celebration on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at E.S. Weiant. Duties include: · ·

9. Election of 2017-18 Officers. (See list of candidates on last sheet.) {The election was postponed from last meeting due to unpredicted low attendance.} 10. Update from Kyle on Facebook and Social Media activities 11. Share experience at Aktion Club Convention in Medina, Ohio Sat. August 26, 2017 – The theme was Barnyard Bash. Discuss key note speaker, breakout sessions, service projects (Aktion Clubs’ Help a Child, Give a Bedkit project), crafts, games (bingo and outside games), breakfast, lunch and snacks, contests, socializing/meeting other club members (clothespin game, bingo on the back of the program), awards, van ride and recommendations for next year. Participants included Carl, Amy, Kim M., Michael, William, and Will. Guests included Brandy, and Kiwanians Alice, Jennifer and Tom Pace. Location was at the Medina County Board of Developmental Disabilities Achievement Center, 4691 Windfall Rd. Medina OH 44256, https://www.mcbdd.org,
NEW BUSINESS 12. Membership Dues Payment. The club owes its annual membership dues to be paid before November 1. We owe $8 per member or $128 for all 16 members currently on the membership roster. We need to decide how it should be paid. (The members can vote OR we can let the Executive Board decide.) · · · ·
Option A. Collect $8 from each member. Option B. Pay full amount from Club Checking Account. Option C. Collect part ($4?) from member and pay remaining ($4?) from Club Checking Account. Option D. Other ideas welcomed
11. SERVICE PROJECT (Take home OR at mtg)– Thank you letters to Veterans for November Veteran’s Day. We will deliver to local veterans via the Licking County Veterans Association. Will suggested we plan a Movie Night for Veterans. Veteran’s Day is Sun. Nov. 11, 2017. 12. Questions or Announcements 13. Adjourn Meeting, Serve in the Community & Make Someone Smile! J (President Rings Bell) Upcoming Events: Sun. October 17, 2017, 3:45-6:00 PM - Celebration of LCBDD 50th Anniversary, E.S. Weaint Center. Wear Aktion Club shirt and/or Aktion Club name badge. Need to setup exhibit table and greet people STARTING AT 3:45 PM. We can also help Granville Kiwanis take down white tents. Next Aktion Club Meetings: Tues. November 14, 2017 – E.S.
