Series Notes - The Lindenwood women’s hockey team resumes the non-conference portion of its schedule with a two-game series at the Ohio State Buckeyes on November 4-5. The series will be played at the OSU Ice Rink in Columbus, Ohio. Puck drop is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday evening, and 2:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon. - Lindenwood and Ohio State met twice last season on October 2-3, 2015 in Wentzville, Mo. The Buckeyes swept the two-game set, winning by scores of 5-1 and 3-2, respectively. The Lady Lions and Buckeyes have met four times in the all-time series, with Ohio State winning all four games. - The trip to Columbus, Ohio is the shortest road trip of the season for Lindenwood, with the OSU Ice Rink 452 miles away from Lindenwood Ice Arena. The Lady Lions just completed their longest trip of the season of 924 miles to the Tennity Ice Pavilion in Syracuse, N.Y. - Ohio State enters the weekend with a record of 3-6-1, and 1-6-1 from within the WCHA. The Buckeyes have played their last eight games against teams ranked inside the top-10, including road contests against No. 1 Wisconsin and No. 8 Bemidji State. Ohio State hosted No. 2 Minnesota and No. 3 Minnesota Duluth over the last two weekends. The Buckeyes are led offensively by the duo of Maddy Field and Lauren Spring who have each totaled six points this season. Kassidy Suave has compiled a .943 save percentage and a 2.38 GAA in her 10 starts.
Lindenwood Notes - Jolene deBruyn started both games at Syracuse on Oct. 28-29. deBruyn turned in a combined 65 saves during the two-game series, including a season-high 33 on Oct. 28 - deBruyn faced 29 combined shots in first period action at Syracuse, making 27 saves. In her four starts this season, deBruyn has made 45 first period saves for a .918 save percentage during the opening frame. - Emma Hare has won 67 percent of her faceoffs this season to lead the team. Britannia Gillanders has won the most draws among the Lady Lions with 28 victories in the circle. - Shannon Morris-Reade tallied a team-leading six shots during the two-game stretch at Syracuse. Morris-
Reade ranks second on the team in shots this season behind Sarah Bobrowski. Bobrowski has 15 shots this season. - Tae Otte has blocked a team-high 12 shots this season. Otte led the team in blocked shots last season with 107. Carla Goodwin has blocked nine shots to rank second on the team. - The Lindenwood penalty-kill unit is operating at a 85.7 percent rate through its first six games this season. That number is up from the 84.4 percent mark the Lady Lions achieved a season ago. - Lindenwood has successfully converted its last nine penalty-kill opportunities dating back to the third period on Oct. 7 versus Northeastern.

Scott Spencer is in his third season as the head coach of the Lindenwood women’s ice hockey program in 2016-17. He has been a hockey coach for the last 13 years, including the last 10 in women’s hockey. In 2015-16, the Lady Lions recorded nine wins.
