SWA lead an international design team for this 8000-acre new town to be located in the Egyptian desert 40km east of downtown Cairo. The project envisions housing for 600,000 residents and a variety of employment, civic, shopping and entertainment facilities to support the residents of this new city. Following completion of the master plan, SWA continued with the project providing detailed design services for and design guidelines for villa neighborhoods, multi family districts, and the town center. SWA has provided construction administration for parks, streetscapes, and the primary project entry.
