What We’re Looking For To be responsible for the day to day management reporting for a busy and growing Family Theme Park. This will include supervision of Sales & Purchase Ledgers, Banking, Income Processing and other duties to maintain the integrity of the accounts, company cashflow management and production of management information. This role reports directly to the Head of Finance.

What You’ll Need Essential:  A relevant accounting qualification (Minimum AAT qualified)  A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a broad accounting role including knowledge of purchase and sales ledgers, cashbooks, banking and payroll.  Experience of using computerised accounting packages  Experience of using Microsoft Office; Word, Excel and Outlook  Good communication skills & confident friendly manner  Excellent organisational skills  Ability to keep calm under pressure  Understanding of VAT Desirable:  Experience of Sage 200 Financial System  Experience and a good working knowledge of EPOS schemes  Experience of payroll and knowledge of current payroll legislation What You’ll be Doing Management and Financial Accounting 

Assist in the production of monthly and annual management accounts and financial statements



Production, development & maintenance of weekly & monthly financial and statistical reporting for management.



Maintaining a Fixed Asset Register; ledger entries as required and reconciliations



Completing cash book entries for the processing of income, posting to the nominal ledger and carrying out reconciliations to the cashroom reporting and bank statements on a weekly basis



Reconciliation and/or analysis of nominal ledger control accounts on a monthly basis Paultons Park Ltd |HR

Maintenance of financial periods of ledgers within accounting software



VAT returns in conjunction with the Head of Finance.



Audits of the cashroom



Audit the EPOS system if required by Head of Finance and understand the process. Liaise with Retail and catering teams



Assist the HOF with the audit of stock in both the retail & catering depts.

Sales Ledger (in conjunction with the Finance Assistants) 

Raising invoices as required for group bookings, privilege tickets and parties



Maintenance of customer database



Credit control

Maintaining an overview of Purchase Ledger and Weekly Payroll. 

Authorisation of purchase ledger invoices and credit notes and checking of transactional postings completed by the Finance Assistant, as required.



Supervision of all Purchase Ledger tasks



Holiday and sickness cover for Finance Assistant.



Maintenance of supplier database

Other General Duties 

Work as part of the administration team in peak times, assisting with switchboard when necessary.



Any other duties as required by the Head of Finance or Directors



In the absence of the Head of Finance you will take responsibility for the running of the Finance Department.

When You’ll Be Doing It 

Generally a 5 day week Monday to Friday 9 am – 5 pm with one hour for lunch. Occasional later finishes may be required.
