Market update for Green Deal

Total number of measures installed using Green Deal finance was 4,171 up to the end of July 2014. Photovoltaics accounted for 28% of measures installed, followed by boilers 25%, and solid wall insulation 15%

In total, there were 3,898 Green Deal Plans in the system at the end of July 2014. Assessments to GD plans are low but evidence suggests that a large proportion of assessments turn into work NOT under a GD plan

Market update for ECO

Overall, 891,669 measures had been installed to the end of June 2014. The split by obligation shows 41% of measures installed under ECO were delivered through the Carbon Saving Target (CERO), 18% delivered were through Carbon Saving Communities (CSCO) and 40% were delivered through Affordable Warmth (HHCRO).

The majority 82% of the 323,617 cavity wall insulation measures installed were delivered to Hard to Treat cavity wall properties. Around two thirds 65% of the 188,543 loft insulation measures installed under ECO up to the end of June 2014 were top ups. Of the 58,693 solid wall measures installed, the large majority 92% were External Wall Insulation.

The south west has had the most vouchers issued reflecting the good demand for renewables by the residential market. It is also probably influenced by high percentage of off-gas households, excellent levels of biomass supply and solar radiation.
