**************************************************************************************************** FOUNDERS' FLIGHT CHECK-IN MISREP: Our April happy-hour beverage call attracted a small but enthusiastic crowd to include several spouses. The club put on a nice spread and Ralph Clemens’ war story of serendipitously hung ordnance was fascinating. If you missed it, we achieved the highest ratio of flight suits to civvies seen at any meeting this year! Many thanks to Maddog and Professor for bringing their SAASS guests along! May Pre-brief: May means it’s time for our annual business meeting. Your flight officers just approved an updated flight constitution which incorporates new requirements from the Maxwell Air Base Wing. We also created a new flight office of “webmaster” to help us increase our e-outreach and to work the interface with National’s APOLLO system. We will have copies of the new constitution along with the past year’s financial statements for your review at the meeting. We also use this meeting to elect our officers for next year. We have plenty of work to do and many hands make it better and easier for everyone. If you would like to volunteer to serve as a flight officer, please contact me (phone/email above) before the meeting so we can discuss! It won’t be all business, as Maj “Brother” Wurster and his cadet flight program team are going to update us on the two winners they selected and their upcoming flying schedule. This is our last monthly meeting until we welcome the new SAASS, ACSC and AWC classes in August, so I hope you will join us for lunch on 17 May in the Daedalian Room! John “JC” Carter, Colonel, USAF (Ret), Flight Captain
Founders' Flight Order of Daedalians P.O. Box 11485 Montgomery AL 36111-0485
Get on the list. We need everyone’s email address. If you have not already done so, please send it to Gordon Amsler, at
[email protected]. This will allow us to reach you faster and may eventually save us some money. **************************************************************************************************** ATTENTION: STANDING RESERVATIONS LIST If you want to save a monthly phone call and be on the Standing Reservation List, you should contact Col. Neal Westbrook to make your reservation for 2011-12. We must have a current Club Card/Credit Card number, with expiration date, in order to place you on the list. All lunch attendees must check in at the sign-in table at each meeting! That includes folks on the standing reservation list–otherwise we have no way of knowing who actually attended. **************************************************************************************************** 2012 DUES ANNOUNCEMENT Yearly flight dues are now $25.00 ($17.50 for our current operations and $7.50 for our scholarship fund).
