The Cardinal men’s soccer team, fresh off a 2-0 shutout of Manchester this past Sunday, hosts Denison tonight in a non-conference match inside Memorial Stadium. Otterbein last faced Denison in 2013, with the Big Red proving victorious with a 2-0 shutout of the Cards on its home field. Otterbein enters tonight having won each of its last two games in shut-out fashion, outscoring Grove City and Manchester by a combined 5-0 margin. Forward Kennedy Mensah played a major role in the team’s two wins, notching a goal in each contest along with an assist against Grove City. Mensah is currently tied atop the Cards’ list of point-leaders (9pts) alongside midfielders Juan Rivas and Pau Piang, good for a share of sixth-place in the conference. Goalkeeper Collin Hoffmann has also submitted a solid season between the posts with a 4-2 record, ranking third in the league with 26 saves. Denison comes into the game having won just one of its last three matches, while each of its two victories have come in a shutout. Most recently the Big Red claimed a 1-0 win at home over Mount Union, thanks to the game-winning score from Jordan Williams four minutes into the game. The Big Red have yet to win a game on the road this season, sporting an 0-3 mark.
