Meulensteen Half Day Camp hosted by VCYSA Meulensteen Elite "Moves & Skills" Training by Sportpartners USA Ages 6-10, boys and girls, hosted by the Vigo County Youth Soccer Association Monday July 20, 2015 at 9:00 AM - Thursday July 23, 2015 at 11:30 AM (EDT)
"Moves & Skills" Player Development Method Train like a pro with the Meulensteen Elite Soccer Camps. Coach Rene Meulensteen, First Team Coach of Manchester United is the designer of the “Moves & Skills” Curriculum. This curriculum is used for the past 10 years at Manchester United’s Youth Academy and has produced players like Danny Welbeck and Tom Cleverley. Now you can train like Danny and Tom as well! “Moves & Skills” is all about enhancing the technical skill of a player along with feeding the player the proper attitude towards the game. Technique is the most priced attribute a player can bring to the pitch and dictates how far a player develops. The mental attitude of a player affects their personality and creativity of skillful players and must be trained the first day a player steps on the pitch. Although the physical traits are very important, speed without control and strength without skill does not do much good to a player or team. Technical sound players also develop better tactically as their comfort on the ball allows for them to read the game quicker and therefor make better decisions.

Meulensteen Elite "Moves & Skills" Training by Sportpartners USA Hosted by the Vigo County Youth Soccer Association (VCYSA) Our program follows the “Technique into Skill into Strategy” progression developed by Meulensteen. This progression clearly allows coaches and players alike to understand what needs to be in place prior to move to more complex exercises. Along with this we are redefining the term “success” to players. Players must be aware of the many great attributes they bring to the pitch over and over again. At the Meulensteen Camps players will work in a positive, stimulating, and rewarding environment where respect, dedication, initiative, and creativity are common traits displayed by coaching staff as well as players. Players will walk away a winner! All coaches are Meulensteen certified and able to demonstrate every technique taught at our camps. Coach : player ratio 1:12 or better.
US Technical Championship Challenge SportpartnersUSA and the Meulensteen Academy introduces the US National Skills Championship 2014! A unique and exciting 1-day event celebrating the core reason soccer/futbol is the most popular sport in the world. This event highlights the essence of the game…..creativity……magic……the emotion……….the skill. Players are trained in Meulensteen’s “Moves & Skills” Method in similar ways as the Manchester United youth academy and the players of Manchester United’s first team. Players are encouraged to try (new) moves without any fear of failure. Ball mastery and fast footwork along with mastering the 1v1 situation are the ingredients of this event.
Why Moves & Skills? Our modern culture of instant gratification and winning is certainly endangering the essentials of soccer and the way players like Pele, Eusebio, Puskas, Cruyff, Laudrup, and Beckenbauer used to play. “Moves and Skills” highlights these essentials in a great way of learning and fun. It’s no secret our youth is not equipped properly to make the difference on the field. Along with the Meulensteen coach courses and club programs we now offer players the opportunity to first-hand experience the power of technique training in a positive, encouraging and exciting way.
