Board Members introduced themselves Mark Hurley presented Scoreboard Enterprise’s scoreboard. 15yr life expectancy Weather sealed 5yr parts warranty Hand controller interchangeable with different channel options 500ft range Red lights have longer life expectancy Solar option available at an additional $3K Replacement parts readily available and hand controller can be borrowed or purchased at $375 Gary presented the Age Determination Change in 2018 and the plan to start MLL transition in 2015. LL International voted to change age determination beginning with 2018 season to roll the cutoff date forward from May 1 to Jan 1. Thank will result in players born May thru Dec to be considered an additional year older in the 2018 season. (See post on website). Affected players and families will have the option to remain in respective division or play up. Tournament ages to be assessed and determined. Will open registration to 4yr olds with May thru December birthdays.

Andy presented option for Intermediate League offering a Diamond Size of 50/70 versus 60/90. He has the available resources if decision is made to increase the size. This item was tabled for future consideration. Sarah presented treasurer report, noting current balance of $48K with no large expenses expected Nov-Dec, other than scoreboard and approximately $1500 in bills. Gary presented coach mentoring program which consists of the following: Major coaches to participate in AAA and Farm practices to assist in drills, coaching tips, etc. AA coaches to run clinic for instructional & tee players. Invite AAA players to participate in off season indoor clinics at small cost to players. Consider use of High school gym at $13/hr. Create committees to improve board efficiency. Improve League Membership – Dotty to lead group with Gary, Jen, Jim, Bob, & Renee.

Dotty presented results of the committee’s first meeting which took place 11/2/14: Registration table approved at Open Houses for Mary K Goode, H.B. Burkland, & Memorial Early Childhood Center. Need volunteers, players in uniform and MLL give-aways. Bob Sigren working on flyer and MLL branding. Renee Puryear contacting local preschool and daycare programs for flyer circulation. Try Baseball Event to take place in late winter to include league representatives, free tshirts, registrations, etc. Jim and Gary sent several reminder notices to those with outstanding balances. Expectation to make a payment, offer reduced fee, or sign a waiver. Skeeter reported that West Side Field Clean Up day was a success and thanked those who volunteered their time and equipment.
