Fabric Requirements Note: This quilt is shown in two colorways. Fabrics for the alternate version are shown in brackets. 1 Mocha Kiss 6-Pack Tonga Treats {Sea Glass 6-Pack Tonga Treats} Note: A 6-Pack contains one 6" x width-of-fabric strip each of twenty different fabrics. 1/2 yard Tonga-B1419 Coffee {Tonga-B1566 Aloe} (binding) 13⁄4 yards XTonga-B1410 Suede {XTonga-B1567 Ocean} (106" wide) or 31⁄2 yards of 45"-wide Tonga print of your choice 63" x 85" batting
Cutting Note: Stack as many strips as you are comfortable cutting at one time with raw edges together. Remove the selvage from one end of the strips to even the edges. From each 6" strip: • Cut four 11⁄2" x 6" rectangles. • Cut one 6" x 18" rectangle. • Cut one 6" x 11" rectangle. Four 1½" 18" • Cut one 6" x 7" rectangle. fig. 1 (figure 1) From B1419 Coffee {B1566 Aloe}: • Cut seven 21⁄4" x width-of-fabric strips for binding.

Block Construction Note: When choosing pairs of rectangles to stitch, try placing the lightest fabrics next to the darkest fabrics.For the medium-value fabrics, choose a different color rectangle. 1. Stitch a contrasting 11⁄2" x 6" rectangle to one short end of each of the 6" x 18" rectangles fig. 2 and the 6" x 7" rectangles. (figures 2 and 3) 2. Stitch two contrasting 11⁄2" x 6" rectangles to one short end of each of the 6" x 11" rectangles. (figure 4)

Quilt Top Assembly fig. 4 3. Arrange and stitch the quilt into vertical rows using two of each block created in steps 1 and 2 for each row. Vary the block size positioning between rows to stagger the seams and add more interest. Press the seam allowances in each row in the opposite direction from the adjacent row. 4. Stitch the rows together, nesting seams where they match. Press the seams to one side. Finishing 5. Layer the quilt top, batting and backing and quilt as desired. 6. Stitch the binding strips together end to end using diagonal seams.
