From Soho-White: • Cut two 31⁄2" x WOF strips. • Cut two 3" x WOF strips. A From Soho-Black: • Cut six 21⁄2" strips for the binding. E Block Construction 1. Sew one 4" x 21" C4064 Black (A) strip to fig. 1 one side of the 8" C1340 White (E) square. Sew another 4" x 21" C4064 Black (A) strip to the adjacent side of the 8" square. (figure 1) A Press the 4" strips toward the 8" square. E 2. Cut across the 8" square and two 4" strips using the diagonal of the square as the block center. (figure 2) fig. 2 3. Sew one 3" x 21" Soho-Taxi strip (M) strip to one side of the block center. Sew another 3" x 21" Soho-Taxi M strip (M) strip to the adjacent side A of the block center. (figure 3) Press the E 3" strips toward the 8" square. A 4. Trim the 3" strips even with the bottom of the triangle. (figure 4) fig. 3 5. Finishing 14. Layer the quilt top, batting and backing and quilt as desired. 15. Stitch the binding strips together end to end using diagonal seams. Fold and press the resulting long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together. Stitch to the quilt front, matching raw edges and mitering the corners.

Quilt Top Assembly 11. Sew the Top Triangle to the Left-Side Triangle and sew the Bottom Triangle to the Right-Side Triangle to make the two halves of the quilt top. (figure 11) 12. Position the two halves of the quilt top so the top corner of the Bottom Triangle is 13" away from to the bottom corner of the Top Triangle. (See arrow, figure 11.) Pin the two halves together and stitch to complete the quilt top. 13. Trim the quilt top to measure 53" x 63". (figures 12 and 13)
