REMINDERS
We will be reviewing letter N and O this week.
Rhyming, counting syllables, listening to ending sounds.
Learn the sight words listed below.
Me, go, can, to, it, the a, I, and, is, red, we, in, see, you, my, big, for, said, here.
Math– We will learn about Less and More. Counting by 10’s and 1’s to 100 and putting 1-10 objects in order. Writing– We will be finding and writing ending sounds to match the correct picture in our reading journals. Science– After getting our pumpkins Wednesday we will go over color, texture, size, weight and then will dissect the class pumpkin and explore what is on the inside of a pumpkin. We will learn the life cycle of a pumpkin. Language– students will be reviewing vocabulary words and learning new words as well. This weeks vocabulary words are: light, living, plant, see, soil, water, seed, float, sink, compare, first, second, third, fourth, fifth.
Please work with your child each night with their sight words. Read with your child each night and write down the book in your child’s MOOSE folder. Congratulations to those who met their first 9 weeks reading goal. This Wednesday is pumpkin patch day! Please send your child in closed toe shoes and a jacket in case they need it.
Important Dates October 15th-Pumpkin patch day (Please send $2.50 by Oct. 14th for a pumpkin.) October 16th & 17th-Fall Break-No school! HAVE A GREAT FALL BREAK!
